Edo North Senatorial District Elders Forum has urged all stakeholders in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to respect the zoning arrangement of the party.
In a communique issued after it’s meeting, on Sunday, signed by Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, Senator Yisa Braimoh, Senator Victor Oyofo, Senator Francis Alimikhena, Mr. Tunde Akogun, Chief Olu Fashanu as Secretary) respectively affirmed “its belief in the principle of zoning/ rotation as enshrined in the 1999 PDP Constitution.”
Having examined the current political dynamics in Edo State with particular reference to the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state, the
Forum appealed “to all stakeholders across the three senatorial districts to be statesmen and patriotic in dealing with the issues in the overriding interest of the state.”
The elders therefore called on “all stakeholders in Edo State to respect the PDP constitution as laid down by our forebears to sustain equity, peace, justice, inclusiveness, fairness, brotherhood, and geo-political balance.”
