Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa on Monday felicitated with former Akwa-Ibom State Governor, Obong Arc. Victor Attah as he turns 80 years on Tuesday November 20, 2018.

Okowa in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Charles Aniagwu in Asaba lauded the elder statesman for his pioneering role in the development of his state, Akwa-Ibom.

Governor Okowa joined the government and people of Akwa-Ibom State in celebrating the landmark age. He lauded Attah’s illustrious contribution to the growth of architecture in Nigeria as a former National President of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and a practitioner of the National Council of Architects Registration Board, NCARB, of the State of New York, and a member of the American Institute of Architects, AIA.

The Governor expressed belief that Obong Attah’s 80 years on earth has been most remarkable as he continues to bestride Nigeria’s architectural profession and political landscape like a collossus.

According to him, this is illustrated by Attah’s dogged contributions to the struggle for resource control and restructuring of Nigeria for the peace, progress and unity of our country.

Governor Okowa extolled Obong Attah’s courage in upholding the values of integrity, hard work and search for knowledge, which had been the hallmark of his sojourn on earth and commended him for his comments and wise counsel on national issues which to a large extent has kept governments in check.

The Governor prayed that the almighty God would grant the octogenarian longer life, good health and more wisdom to sustain his role as a statesman and as Chancellor of the Western Delta University, Oghara in Delta State.
