BREAKING NEWS: NJC Sacks Uzokwe As Abia Chief Judge, Investigates Two Others


The National Judicial Commission (NJC) has approved the compulsory requirement of Justice Theresa Uzokwe, Chief Justice of Abia State and Justice Obisike Oji of Abuja State High Court.

The NJC chaired by Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Walter Onnoghen also issued stern warnings to SE Aladetoyinbo and Justice Olusola Williams of the Lagos and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Courts.

The NJC, at its Wednesday meeting, also set up a committee to investigate a Supreme Court justice and two state chief judges.

A statement issued by Soji Oye, director of information NJC, said the judicial body approved the appointment of 60 judicial officers for 24 states in the country.
